Hiawathaland Transit En EspanolProvides curb-to-curb public transportation to individuals within the Plainview and Elgin area. There are no age or income restrictions, but children age 2 and under must be accompanied by an adult. $1.75 or one token for a one way trip within the Plainview/Elgin service area. Tokens available at Plainview City Hall & some local businesses in both Plainview and Elgin. Assistants accompanying a person with disabilities ride free. The service area for Hiawathaland Transit includes the city limits of Plainview, Elgin and the following areas:

· Carley State Park
· Woodland Estates
· Big Woods
· Golf Course
· Plainview Township
· Elgin Township

Service available Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. There is no service on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Twenty-four Hour advanced reservation is encouraged. You can call (866) 623-7505 24 hours a day to make a reservation. Less than 24 hours notice will be handled on a first come, first served basis.

Hiawathaland Transit is administered by Three Rivers Community Action, Inc. Support is provided by the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the Transit Advisory Committee, Goodhue County, Wabasha County, Greenfield Township, the City of Cannon Falls, the City of Elgin, the City of Kellogg, the City of Lake City, the City of Plainview and the City of Wabasha.
